On June 13, 2009, the United States Power Squadrons (USPS), District 12 has made arrangements with Boston Harbor Cruises for a unique 3-hour Boston Harbor Cruise aboard a modern 300 passenger motor yacht. The AURORA is heated and has a large seating area inside with three decks. You’ll be very comfortable. You will see and hear about Aids to Navigation and more during our Harbor cruise. You’ll have fun and improve your boating education. An understanding of floating buoys, fixed aids and ranges, etc. is an essential part of safe boating and although covered in the classroom during the USPS Course, is best understood by actually seeing the aids at sea. During the entire voyage a USPS member and USCG licensed captain will provide commentary giving students a better understanding of Aids to Navigation and their light characteristics.
